Career Development and Learning Opportunities
We are committed to providing learning and development opportunities that enable our people to realise their individual potential. Employees can access a range of e-learning opportunities via the Pickles Intranet. On-the job training and systems training support is also offered. All employees participate in an annual performance review and development planning session with their manager. This process involves identifying career goals and relevant learning activities to close skills gaps. Our Educational Assistance Program provides financial assistance and study leave for employees to complete courses leading to the award of academic or vocational qualifications at recognised educational institutions. Pickles Auctions also offers a Mentor Program annually for top performers and high potential employees. With 23 locations across Australia we are able to provide promotional opportunities from within the business including temporary interstate assignments and permanent relocation. Work/Life Balance
We are committed to maintaining a workplace culture where our people are encouraged to achieve a healthy balance between work commitments and family life; it’s one of our key values. We offer flexible work practices including part-time work, job sharing, working from home, flexible work schedules, and contracting*. For employees who have completed 12 months service, a range of flexible leave options may be available including purchased annual leave, career break schemes and job swap arrangements. Our employee assistance scheme is designed to promote employee well being and personal development and volunteering leave provides the opportunity to participate in an activity or initiative for a community organisation or charity. All full time salaried employees also enjoy an additional 5 days paid leave per annum after completing two years service. Salaried leave allows a Pickles employee to spend more time with their family or schedule personal appointments during business hours.
