Working@Pickles
Pickles is a great place to work because we value relationships and respect individuals.
Work / Life balance
.
We're serious about helping you achieve a balance between work and your personal life by offering options such as: flexible work schedules, working from home, part time employment, job sharing and leave of absence to travel or study.*
Our employee assistance scheme is designed to promote employee well being and personal development.
All full time salaried employees enjoy an additional 5 days paid leave per annum after completing two years service. Salaried leave allows an employee to spend more time with their family or schedule personal appointments during business hours.
We are committed to maintaining a workplace culture where you are encouraged to achieve a healthy balance between work commitments and family life; it’s one of our key values.
Rewards & Recognition
.
We believe that everyone who works at Pickles should feel valued and appreciated and we love to celebrate success!
To attract, motivate and retain the most talented employees Pickles offers a performance bonus. Employees who are eligible for the bonus scheme have some portion of their annual compensation tied directly to business results to ensure our people receive the appropriate reward.
This year we have introduced a national program that enables managers to recognise and reward an employee for high performance and commitment to our values.
Membership to Pickles Life Rewards is available to all permanent employees. It gives access to more than 25,000 discount offers including: vehicle accessories, dining and food, accommodation, entertainment, travel, flowers, gifts and car rental. We also offer complementary financial planning services.
Career Development
.
We are committed to providing learning and development opportunities that enable our people to realise their individual potential.
Employees can access a range of e-learning opportunities via the Pickles Intranet. Topics include communication, professional and management skills. Since 2004 Pickles has partnered with the Frontline Management Institute to deliver competency units from the Diploma in Business.
All employees participate in an annual performance review and development planning session with their manager. This process involves identifying career goals and relevant learning activities to close skills gaps.
Our Educational Assistance Program provides financial assistance for employees to complete courses leading to the award of academic or vocational qualifications at recognised educational institutions.
Pickles employs more than 450 people in a wide variety of roles at 19 locations across Australia and we continue to experience substantial growth. We are committed to providing promotional opportunities from within the business including temporary interstate assignments and permanent relocation.
The learning and development initiatives at Pickles reflect our commitment to promoting an environment of learning and fostering innovative and enterprising employees.
*The range of options offered to employees varies according to role and location.
