Tim Pickles – Executive Chairman
Tim was appointed Managing Director in 1999 and more recently Executive Chairman. He has guided the Company through its rapid expansion in recent years. He enjoys the challenge of leadership and provides vision and strategy to the Pickles executive team. Tim has 20 years experience as an auctioneer. He is married with four children. Tim enjoys jogging and the occasional game of golf.
Bruce Connors – Director, Industrial
Bruce has 22 years experience in the auction industry. During his career at Pickles he has held a range of positions in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and Victoria. In 2005, Bruce was appointed Director Industrial Division. He overseas Trucks, Machinery, Earthmoving Equipment, General Goods, IT and Pickles Valuation Services. Bruce’s particular areas of expertise are in Transport, Agriculture, Construction, Mining, Marine and Aviation. He is married with 2 children and enjoys his rugby, sailing, golf and the outdoors.
Steve Hawkes – Chief Financial Officer
Steve joined Pickles Auctions in 2002 as Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for finance, administration and information technology. Originally from the UK, Steve has degrees in Law and Accountancy and he's a qualified chartered accountant. Steve held management & finance roles with several international public companies before joining Pickles. He is married with two children and his interests include reading, music and travel.
Bruce Maclennan – Director, Operations
Bruce commenced his employment with Pickles in 1990 while completing an undergraduate degree in building. In 1995 he was employed in the Motor Vehicles division as a trainee auctioneer & motor vehicle valuer. He was appointed Branch Manager, Belmore in 1999. In his current role Bruce oversees the operation of all our branches and provides coaching and leadership for our branch and regional managers. Bruce is married and has 2 children, he enjoys surfing and spending time with his family.
Will Morgan – Director, Salvage
Will joined the Pickles team in 1996 after studying business administration at Canberra University and working on the land. He has experience in a number of key areas of the business. His previous roles include Branch Manager of the Sydney Truck & Machinery division and National Manager, Computer & IT division. Will currently oversees the Salvage division in areas including business development, client liaison and sales. He is married and has three children. Will enjoys the beach, golf and playing the guitar.
Matthew Peterson – Director, General Vehicles
Matthew has over 22 years experience in the auction industry. He oversees the Motor Vehicle division which includes government, fleet, repossessed and manufacturer vehicles. He has been the catalyst and engineer for the introduction of many unique value added services in the motor vehicle auction industry including the highly successful online internet vehicle management system for vendors known as PAIRS. Matthew is married with four children. His interests include family, rugby union and golf.
Chris Avramis – Legal Counsel & Company Secretary
Chris is the Company’s Legal Counsel and Company Secretary. He advises the Governance Board and management on all legal issues. In addition, Chris oversees property leases; acquisitions of businesses, the development of our facilities and occupational health and safety. Chris has a Law Degree from Sydney University. Prior to joining Pickles Auctions in 1999 he worked for several law firms. Chris is married with two children and enjoys keeping fit.
Bev Cameron – General Manager, Pickles Plus
Bev joined Pickles Auctions in 1999 has been responsible for both marketing and people & culture in previous roles. In her current role, Bev is leading our new online division and driving the development of the PicklesPlus brand and website. Bev has a degree majoring in Economics from Sydney University. She is married with four children and generally loves life!
