Pickles has 50+ years’ experience in the auction business and an annual gross turnover of $2.7 billion. Pickles’ branches are strategically located near hubs meaning we’re where the customers are. This, along with our deep expertise, means we can achieve high returns. Our traditional auctions are marketed across multiple channels – online, newsprint, industry – specific media, social media, television, radio, and email – to reach the largest network of buyers.

Running over a period of several days, online auctions are best suited for specialised assets and certain industries such as engineering, retail, and food processing. Our online buying service, PicklesONLINE, makes it easy for customers to bid on assets from their desktop or laptop in our regularly scheduled online auctions. Online auctions may be the best way to maximise the pool of potential buyers.

Sale by Expresssion of Interest (EOI)/Tender allows for the disposal of specialty items in a structured format. Pickles Advisory experts assess the value of the item and advertise it for sale. Our team is experienced with this structured sales process, including preparing tender documents, remarketing strategies, managing inspections, collecting offers and other sales assistance.

Fixed price sales are an effective way to dispose of some liquid assets, such as cars in good condition without sending it to auction. Pickles offers fixed price sales on fleet, government and repossessed vehicles online and on site at our branches to provide a seamless service for buyers. We offer finance, insurance, warranty, delivery and trade-ins. We also offer Buy Now on all fixed price vehicles giving customers the flexibility and convenience of purchasing a car online.

As part of the valuation process, Pickles Advisory and Valuations can discuss with you a formal valuation guarantee for assets that will go to auction. Our confidence in our international valuations team and experience in remarketing assets to achieve the highest possible return gives us the ability to offer such guarantees.

When value can be maximised by selling assets in-situ – for example, for particular types of plant and equipment in the event of insolvency or a location closure – we organise Major Event In-Situ Sales. These sales allow buyers to inspect plant and equipment on location and deliver a higher overall return than disassembling the equipment and transporting it to our auction location.

For clients with plant or equipment in service, Pickles Advisory offers a residual value underwriting services to protect against any downside risk in a decline in those assets’ residual values. This process removes the need for concern that changes in the marketplace will result in declining residual asset values in any particular class.

When there is a need for immediate liquidity, Pickles Advisory and Valuations offers asset buy-out services. This may include all assets or, in conjunction with a strategic evaluation of the business, the buy-out of certain less critical assets to inject liquidity into the business.

Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) assessments for business include plant hazard reporting, site safety reviews and business trade-on reviews. These assessments evaluate any factors that may impact the health, safety, and welfare of those in your workplace, including customers, employees, contractors, visitors and others. Pickles has received several accreditations related to safety and environmental protection.

We are the only auction house in Australia with the AS/NZS 4801:2001 Safety Accreditation which we have received across all our branches nationally. AS/NZS 4801:2001 is used as the benchmark to assess occupational health and safety management systems in Australia and New Zealand with standards so rigorous that other countries have adopted the requirements as well. We also have received our Environmental Management System certificate reflecting our commitment to environmental risk management using the ISO 14001 International Standard for a structured management approach to environmental protection.
