Bidding in a Pickles Live auction

Welcome to Pickles Live Bidding

Participate live, in real-time over the Internet!
We have recently updated the Pickles Live bidding screen and as a result regular buyers may have to accept a new software download. Please follow the prompts as required.

Pickles Live bidding allows you to participate in our live on-site physical auctions from the comfort of your home or office. As a potential buyer, you can see photographs of all the vehicles for sale on your computer screen, hear the auctioneer call the bids over the internet and join in the bidding with a click of a button. It offers a simple, secure and stress-free way of buying a vehicle at auction.

It is required that you register as a buyer for each sale you wish to participate in.

How long will the registration take to complete?

It's important that you complete all questions on the registration. This should only take you a few minutes if you have all your information at hand. For security reasons, incomplete applications cannot be saved. You must have a My Pickles account to register.

Once your registration is approved we will send you an email containing details enabling you to take part in our online auction. View an image of the Buyer Registration confirmation e-mail.

Registration must be submitted at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your nominated auction.

Deposit

As part of the registration process you will be directed to a separate page to provide your credit card details.
If you are successful in bidding for an item the following deposit will automatically be debited to your credit card:

Motor Vehicle - $500.00
(Sydney Weekly Prestige vehicles require a deposit of $1,000.00.
Sydney Quarterly Luxury, Exotic & 4WD vehicles require a deposit of $2,000.00)
Salvage Vehicle - $1,000.00
Truck, Machinery or Earthmoving Pant - $1,000.00

If you choose not to bid or if you are unsuccessful in bidding for any vehicle, no deposit will be deducted. All credit card transactions are handled securely through ANZ bank. Pickles Auctions will not retain or have access to your credit card details.

Although your credit card will not be debited unless you successfully bid for a vehicle, your credit card provider will allocate either $500.00 or $1000.00 of your credit limit against this potential transaction. This will effectively reduce your available credit – even though nothing will appear on your credit card statement. After the conclusion of the auction, even if you have not bought a vehicle, it may take five (5) to 10 days for your deposit to be added back to your credit limit. The amount of time this takes depends on which credit card provider you use.

Processing Fee and Other Charges

Our normal charges, together with an internet processing fee of $60.50 incl GST (for vehicles under $1000) or $77.00 incl GST (for vehicles over $1000) will apply for all successful purchases.

Successful Purchases

If your bid is successful on a vehicle you will be sent an e-mail within 30 minutes confirming your purchase. This will include a statement, payment details and transport or pick up requirements for your vehicle.

Referred Bids

Most vehicles sold on line will have a reserve price. Should you have the last bid and your bid has not reached the reserve price, the motor vehicle will be referred to you. This means we will contact the Vendor to inform them of your bid and ascertain whether the Vendor will accept your bid even though it has not reached the reserve price.

In the event of a referred bid, a Pickles staff member will contact you by phone to discuss the sale of that vehicle.

What information do I need to complete my application?

• Your valid driver's licence number
• Dealers number if you have one
• Credit card details
• A physical street address - we are unable to accept a PO Box number 

Who can apply?
To register you must:

• be more than 18 years of age
• be a permanent resident of Australia
• have finance organised for your vehicle purchase
• have a valid credit card 

Participating in Pickles Live

Note: Please use Internet Explorer 6 or higher to view the auction.

Click on the GO > button 20 minutes prior to auction starts.

If the auction has started, a new window will open with the following message: "If the bidding window does not open automatically, click here". Click on this link and a new window will appear.
On the top of the window it will prompt you to install the following "add-ons (active x control)". You will need to install all 3 add-ons.
