Yes, anyone can bid on an ex-Military item. We recommend signing up to the ex-Military newsletter to get notified of auctions each month.
Thurgoona: Yes, trucks, trailers and vehicles can be viewed Monday and Tuesday (8am–3pm) in the week of the auction.
Viewing of General Goods is not available.
Pickles branches: Items located at Pickles branches can be inspected by appointment only - email info@pickles.com.au for more information.Payment for ex‑Military purchases is required in full within 48 hours of the sale ending.
Full payment must be received before you can collect your purchase.
Pickles branches: Present the zero‑balance invoice on collection and collect within 3 business days. If you can’t collect in that timeframe, email info@pickles.com.au with your Client ID, when you can collect and the item number.
Thurgoona: Collection is available Monday to Wednesday (8am–3pm) after the sale concludes.No, Pickles does not organise or arrange transport for ex‑Military items from Thurgoona. Transport is the responsibility of the buyer.
Suggested providers include Freight Match (1300 419 825) and Nationwide Truck It.This means there is no key or door locks on the item.
Ex‑Military auctions run monthly and last for 6 days.
Private Collections for Motor Vehicles
Motor vehicles purchased via auction must be removed via tow truck and can no longer be driven offsite. The only exceptions to this rule are:
Trade customers or dealers who have trade plates
OR
Private members who have purchased a vehicle which has a current roadworthy certificate and is registered.
If a vehicle is advertised with registration and the member is interstate, they will not receive the plates. Buyers are solely responsible for arranging courier services.
Collections for Salvage Vehicles including Heavy Motor Salvage
In accordance with updated transport guidelines, we will not load salvage items onto car trailers (excludes motorbike collections).
Private Collections for Industrial & General Goods items
Industrial items: Members may collect and drive industrial items offsite, provided the driver has successfully completed an induction at the branch.General Goods: Members can collect general goods after completing an induction at the branch. A copy of the zero-balance invoice must be provided to the courier and they must also complete the onsite induction.
Please note: Car trailers cannot be used for any vehicle collections, motorbikes and some general good items may be excepted in line with safety procedures outlined within the safety guidelines.
No. Items cannot be stored on site and must be collected in the allocated timeslot.
No. Due to the vendor’s audit process, all items must be sold at auction.
All ex-Military items are unreserved.
