Vendor FAQs

Pickles Direct is a newer way to sell certain regional industrial items where the item stays on your site. Instead of us coming out to inspect it, we handle everything remotely - valuation, listing, auction, payment and buyer management all while still using the Pickles platform and buyer network. It’s designed to be quicker and more convenient for items that don’t need a site visit.
To sell an item through Pickles Direct, vendors provide all required photographs, videos, descriptions, specifications, disclosures and a reserve price for listing. Pickles will confirm an auction estimate and, once accepted, a member of our team will contact you to set you up as a Pickles Direct vendor. After you are established as a vendor, your item will be listed in the next available Pickles Direct auction.
Yes. Items listed via Pickles Direct remain at the vendor’s premises at all times prior to collection by the buyer. Pickles does not take possession or control of the item.
Items are listed in auctions designated by Pickles for Pickles Direct sales, in accordance with Pickles ’auction processes and terms.
Vendor fees are governed by the applicable Agency Agreement and fee schedules agreed with Pickles.
We welcome all items. Provide all of the required information, images, and videos, and your item will be reviewed remotely by the Pickles Direct team.
If you need to amend information about your item, simply reply to your Pickles Direct estimate or send an email directly to direct@pickles.com.au. Vendors remain responsible for ensuring that items are described honestly and truthfully and that all information is complete and accurate, and compliant with all applicable Australian laws.
Once payment has cleared and a gate pass or release authority has been issued, collection arrangements are made directly between the buyer and the vendor. Pickles is not responsible for collection activities.
Selling with Pickles Direct gives you access to Australia’s largest used marketplace, where your asset could reach 2 million potential buyers every month.
If an item does not sell, any relisting or further sale arrangements are subject to Pickles ’auction processes and agreement with the vendor.
If you have any questions during the process, simply email direct@pickles.com.au and quote your Asset ID.Q.
Sale proceeds are released after cleared funds are received and once any applicable buyer notification or dispute periods have expired. Pickles may withhold or set off amounts where a dispute or claim arises.
Pickles Direct puts the power into the seller’s hands - you capture the data and imagery and the asset doesn’t require physical inspection or transport to a Pickles branch. This sales method saves time, money and energy.
