Senior Executive


Bruce was appointed to the role of CEO, reporting to the Executive Chairman, in February 2014. Bruce commenced his employment with Pickles in 1990 while completing an undergraduate degree at UNSW. In 1995 he was employed in the Motor Vehicles division as a trainee auctioneer and motor vehicle valuer. From 1999 until 2002 Bruce held the position of Branch Manager, Belmore. In his previous role as Director, Operations he was responsible for national operations, as well marketing and IT. Bruce has two girls and enjoys spending time in the country and at the beach.


Ben is Pickles’ Chief Operating Officer(COO). Ben has over 20 years’ experience in operational and management roles within the auction industry across Motor Vehicles, Industrial and Salvage aspects. Ben is responsible for the operations of Pickles 21 branches nationally including the national transport division. Ben is a graduate of the Company Directors course with AICD (Australian Institute of Company Directors). Ben is married with two children and enjoys boating, fishing and personal development in his spare time.


Chris is Pickles’ Chief Corporate Officer (CCO). Chris is responsible for our property portfolio, our people, WHS, facility development and risk. Chris is also the company secretary and advises Pickles management and the Board on legal matters and governance. Chris graduated from The University of Sydney in 1996 and joined Pickles Auctions in 1999. Chris is married with two children and enjoys keeping fit.


Dan joined Pickles in 2018 as the Financial Controller and in 2020 was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Pickles, Dan held a number of senior positions with top tier accounting firms specialising in transactions, restructuring and corporate finance. Dan holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and is a Chartered Accountant. In his spare time, Dan enjoys watching sport and spending time with his family.


Bruce has 22 years' experience in the auction industry. During his career at Pickles, he has held a range of positions in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and Victoria. In 2005, Bruce was appointed Director, Industrial division. He oversees Trucks, Machinery, Earthmoving Equipment, General Goods, IT and Pickles Valuation Services. Bruce’s particular areas of expertise are in transport, agriculture, construction, mining, marine and aviation. He is married with two children and enjoys rugby, sailing, golf and the outdoors.


Simon joined Pickles in 2003 and now holds the position of Chief Digital Officer, overseeing the company’s digital portfolio including Technology, Marketing, Data & Analytics, Innovation and Operations across Australia and Asia. During his time he has held several senior operational roles, worked on many long-term projects and is a director of a number of Pickles investment businesses. He has international experience in auctions and related industries and has completed an MBA. Simon joined the Executive team in 2016 to focus on strategic partnerships and enterprise growth. Away from the office Simon enjoys all things sport and getting away to the NSW South Coast.


Fraser joined Pickles in July 2021 as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Prior to joining Pickles, Fraser held a number of executive positions, most recently at Custom Fleet as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Fraser commenced his career in professional services having specialised in Corporate Finance, Restructuring & Turnaround before joining GE Capital as Head of Asset Management. Fraser holds a BA (Honours) in Accountancy, is a Chartered Accountant and has completed USQ Advanced Certificate Insolvency. Fraser is married with two young boys. He enjoys playing soccer, running and the odd glass of single malt!
