Cana Communities' local charity auctions thousands of items.

Pickles will be hosting ten Sydney Airport Lost Property Auctions starting Tuesday 4 September and ending Thursday 13 September with a range of weird, wacky and wonderful items up for grabs. Included in the auctions are a range of cameras, gaming equipment, smartphones, tablets, perfumes, cosmetics, jewellery, artwork, homewares, toys, wine and spirits, sunglasses, hats, clothing, footwear, wallets, handbags and backpacks.

Thousands of items are listed for auction to raise money for local charity Cana Communities.

‘Sydney Airport Chief Executive Officer Geoff Culbert said announcing Cana Communities as the major grant recipient is an exciting way to kick off one of the airport’s most unique campaigns.

“Cana Communities is doing incredible work to support those suffering from homelessness and drug addiction and getting them back on their feet, and it’s an absolute pleasure to announce them as our major grant recipient as part of next week’s Lost Property Auction,” Mr Culbert said, as said in Sydney Airport’s press release.’

Pickles Department Manager Richard White said the auction is an incredible opportunity to nab a bargain on a great range of items, some of which are a bit quirky in nature.

“As part of the 10 auctions we’ll have an extensive range of items across technology and gaming, including cameras, smartphones, tablets and laptops.

“Some of the more interesting items we have this year include inflatable pools, ice shavers, telescopes and a Chinese violin and as they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how the auctions unfold.”
