Bruce was appointed to the role of CEO, reporting to the Executive Chairman, in February 2014. Bruce commenced his employment with Pickles in 1990 while completing an undergraduate degree at UNSW. In 1995 he was employed in the Motor Vehicles division as a trainee auctioneer and motor vehicle valuer. From 1999 until 2002 Bruce held the position of Branch Manager, Belmore. In his previous role as Director, Operations he was responsible for national operations, as well marketing and IT. Bruce is married and has two children. He enjoys surfing and spending time with his family.
Chris is Pickles’ Chief Operating Officer (COO). Chris is responsible for the operations of Pickles and our 23 national branches. He advises Pickles management and the Board on legal matters and oversees the company property portfolio, facility development, WH&S, transport and people and culture initiatives. Chris graduated from The University of Sydney in 1996 and joined Pickles Auctions in 1999. Chris is married with two children and enjoys fitness and exercise in his spare time.
Dan joined Pickles in 2018 as the Financial Controller and in 2020 was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Pickles, Dan held a number of senior positions with top tier accounting firms specialising in transactions, restructuring and corporate finance. Dan holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and is a Chartered Accountant. In his spare time, Dan enjoys watching sport and spending time with his family.
Bruce has 22 years' experience in the auction industry. During his career at Pickles, he has held a range of positions in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and Victoria. In 2005, Bruce was appointed Director, Industrial division. He oversees Trucks, Machinery, Earthmoving Equipment, General Goods, IT and Pickles Valuation Services. Bruce’s particular areas of expertise are in transport, agriculture, construction, mining, marine and aviation. He is married with two children and enjoys rugby, sailing, golf and the outdoors.
David joined Pickles in 2001 as Branch Manager, Milperra our largest Salvage division, bringing over 15 years' experience in the insurance and motor vehicle industries. In 2005 he was appointed Regional Operations Manager overseeing all branch operations in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart and all sites in Regional New South Wales. In 2014 David was appointed to General Manager, Operations overseeing the operation of all our branches. In February 2016, David implemented the Customer Relationship Management Program at Pickles and as of February 2020 was appointed to General Manager, Salvage whilst continuing to oversee our CRM program. David is married with four children and enjoys golf, being a car enthusiast and relaxing poolside.
Brendon joined Pickles Auctions in 1997 as an accountant and in 2003 was promoted to Financial Controller. In 2007 Brendon moved into the Motor Vehicle division to establish our Novated Lease Remarketing program and also took on national account management responsibilities for many vendors. Appointed to his current role in February 2014, Brendon is responsible for the entire Motor Vehicle division which includes Government, Fleet, Novated, Repossessed and Manufacturer vehicles. Brendon is married and enjoys taking his two boys surfing and fishing.
Simon joined Pickles in 2003 and now holds the position of Chief Digital Officer, overseeing the company’s digital portfolio including IT, Marketing, Data & Innovation. During his time he has held several senior operational roles, worked on a number of long-term projects and is a director of a number of our investment businesses. He has international experience in auctions and related industries and has completed an MBA. Simon joined the Executive team in 2016 to focus on strategic partnerships and enterprise growth. Away from the office Simon enjoys all things sport and getting away to the NSW South Coast.
Bronwen Peak is a senior Human Resources professional with experience gained in the financial services, media, telecommunications and utility sectors. Bronwen specialises in HR transformation, integration, restructuring, building high-performance teams, and has a Bachelor of Business (HRM), MBA (International Management) and a Masters' of Science (Coaching Psychology). Bronwen is passionate about supporting leaders to drive a high performance and values-based culture. Outside of Pickles, Bronwen enjoys cycling, hiking, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Ben has served as the National Operations Manager for Pickles since 2016. He joined Pickles in 2000 as the Townsville Branch Manager shortly after completing a Bachelor of Science at James Cook University. After 7 years of management across Pickles Motor Vehicles, Industrial and Salvage divisions, he was appointed as the Queensland Regional Manager. After 9 years in the role, Ben was promoted to the National Operations Manager role overseeing the Regional Manager team and the performance and operation of all branches nationally. He recently completed the Company Directors course with AICD (Australian Institute of Company Directors). Ben is married with two children and enjoys boating, fishing and personal development in his spare time.
Fraser joined Pickles in July 2021 as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Prior to joining Pickles, Fraser held a number of executive positions, most recently at Custom Fleet as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Fraser commenced his career in professional services having specialised in Corporate Finance, Restructuring & Turnaround before joining GE Capital as Head of Asset Management. Fraser holds a BA (Honours) in Accountancy, is a Chartered Accountant and has completed USQ Advanced Certificate Insolvency. Fraser is married with two young boys. He enjoys playing soccer, running and the odd glass of single malt!
