CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Bruce was appointed to the role of CEO, reporting to the Executive Chairman, in February 2014. From 1999 until 2002 Bruce held the position of Branch Manager, Belmore. In his previous role as Director, Operations he was responsible for national operations, as well marketing and IT. Bruce is married and has two children. He enjoys surfing and spending time with his family.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Chris is the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Chris is responsible for the operations of the company in particular the 21 branches nationally. He advises the Board and management on legal matters, oversees the property portfolio of the company, the development of our facilities and WH&S. Chris graduated from Sydney University in 1996 and admitted as a legal practitioner in the same year. Chris joined Pickles Auctions in 1999. Chris is married with two children and enjoys keeping fit.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
David joined Pickles in 2008 as Financial Controller and is now the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for finance, payroll and business information. Prior to joining Pickles, he had a successful career in the beverages industry in a variety of senior finance roles at state and national levels, both in Australia and internationally. David has a Business degree and is a CPA. He enjoys the wide outdoors, watching sport and spending time with his family.
Bruce has 22 years' experience in the auction industry. During his career at Pickles, he has held a range of positions in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and Victoria. In 2005, Bruce was appointed Director, Industrial division. He oversees Trucks, Machinery, Earthmoving Equipment, General Goods, IT and Pickles Valuation Services. Bruce’s particular areas of expertise are in transport, agriculture, construction, mining, marine and aviation. He is married with two children and enjoys rugby, sailing, golf and the outdoors.
Will joined the Pickles team in 1996 after studying business administration at Canberra University and working on the land. He has experience in a number of key areas of the business. His previous roles include Branch Manager of the Sydney Truck & Machinery division and National Manager, Computer & IT division. Will currently oversees the Salvage division in areas including business development, client liaison and sales. He is married and has three children. Will enjoys the beach, golf and playing the guitar.
GENERAL MANAGER, CRM & SALES DEVELOPMENT
David joined Pickles in 2001 as Branch Manager, Milperra, bringing 15 years' experience in the insurance and motor vehicle industries. In 2005 he was appointed Regional Operations Manager overseeing all branch operations in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart and all sites in Regional New South Wales. In 2014 David was appointed to General Manager, Operations overseeing the operation of all our branches. In February 2016, David implemented the Customer Relationship Management Program at Pickles and now oversees our Branch Networks’ Sales and Customer strategies. David is married with a daughter.
GENERAL MANAGER, MOTOR VEHICLES
Brendon joined Pickles Auctions in 1997 as an accountant and in 2003 was promoted to Financial Controller. In 2007 Brendon moved into the Motor Vehicle division to establish our Novated Lease Remarketing program and also took on national account management responsibilities for many vendors. Appointed to his current role in February 2014, Brendon is responsible for the entire Motor Vehicle division which includes Government, Fleet, Novated, Repossessed and Manufacturer vehicles. Brendon is married and enjoys taking his two boys surfing and fishing.
CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER AND GENERAL MANAGER, NEW VENTURES
Simon joined Pickles in 2003 and now holds the position of Chief Information Officer and General Manager, New Ventures. During his time, he has held positions as both Branch & Regional Manager and worked on a variety of long-term projects across many parts of the business. He has international experience in auctions and related industries and has completed an MBA. Simon joined the National Executive team in 2016 to focus on strategic partnerships and enterprise growth. Simon is married with 2 children.
HEAD OF PEOPLE & CULTURE
Bronwen Peak is a senior Human Resources professional with experience gained in the financial services, media, telecommunications and utility sectors. Bronwen specialises in HR transformation, integration, restructuring, building high-performance teams, and has a Bachelor of Business (HRM), MBA (International Management) and a Masters' of Science (Coaching Psychology). Bronwen is passionate about supporting leaders to drive a high performance and values-based culture. Outside of Pickles, Bronwen enjoys cycling, hiking, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Following 15 years as Managing Director of the company, Tim has recently assumed the role of Executive Chairman of both the Governance Board and the Advisory Board. Along with the other Board members, Tim provides high level strategic support to the Executive team. Tim has over 20 years' experience as an auctioneer and has extensive knowledge of all aspects of the auction industry.
Prior to joining the Advisory Board, Matthew oversaw the Motor Vehicle division which included Government, Fleet, Repossessed and Manufacturer vehicles. Matthew has over 22 years' experience in the auction industry. He has been the catalyst and engineer for the introduction of many unique value added services in the motor vehicle auction industry including the highly successful online internet vehicle management system for vendors known as PAIRS.
Prior to joining the Advisory Board, Steve was Chief Financial Officer for 11 years. Steve is a Chartered Accountant and before joining Pickles he held management and senior finance roles with a number of international public companies in Australia and the UK.
For more than 20 years Jock has been advising senior leaders in the fields of business and government. He has been intimately involved in Pickles for more than 15 years, fulfilling a variety of consulting and facilitation roles during that time. Jock is also the Executive Director of the National Student Leadership Forum, one of Australia's most significant leadership development initiatives for young adults. His wealth of experience and knowledge in the area of leadership will be an invaluable addition to the Advisory.
